Open HSBC Account
You can submit an online application for many of our accounts. From us.hsbc.com, click on ‘Banking’ and choose any of the following:
- Credit Cards
- Checking
- Savings
- CDs
- Debit Cards
- Line of Credit
From there, click the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Note: Give yourself about 15-20 minutes to complete the application.
What do I need to apply online?
To apply online you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a Social Security Number
- Have a U.S. residential address

What information do I need to open an account?
When you're applying for a deposit account or credit card you'll need the following information:
- Social Security Number
- Email Address
- U.S. driver's license, U.S. non-driver ID card, U.S. learner permit, passport, or Green Card
- Date of Birth
- Employment information
- Bank account and routing number for electronic funds transfer (deposit only)
- Telephone Number
- U.S. residential address
- Form W-9 Tax Certification requirements (deposit only)
Please note: The deposit application is an individual application only. Once your account is open, you can add a joint account holder to a checking or savings account.
