You can have a Digital Security Device on up to 3 of your personal devices. If you lose or break your phone/tablet, you can remove it from your account using Personal Internet Banking.
To remove a device:
- Log on and go to 'My HSBC'.
- In the 'Security' section, select 'Manage my Security Device', then 'Manage your devices'.
- Choose the link to 'Remove device'.
As long as you don't already have 3 Digital Security Devices registered, you can also add a new device to your security profile.
If you get a new phone or tablet, you can add a Digital Security Device to it by downloading the HSBC U.S. Mobile Banking app and entering your credentials. You will then be guided through the process of setting up a new Digital Security Device.
